Van zijn originele functie als sidekick van Percy Mayfield en John Lee Hooker via zijn stunts met Canned Heat en John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers tot zijn nog altijd succesvolle solocarrière, heeft Walter Trout zich met zijn inmiddels 35-jarige loopbaan ontpopt tot een ware stayer. Zijn 19e solo album is geproduceerd door Grammy-winnaar John Porter (alles van Buddy Guy via Ryan Adams tot The Smiths) met drummer Kenny Aronoff (The Rolling Stones, Willie Nelson), bassist Hutch Hutchinson en pianist John Cleary als backing band. Deze talentvolle combinatie sluipt in je hart en smelt daar Blues en Rock samen door tijdloze riffs. Trout pakt op dit album echter ook regelmatig de akoestische gitaar erbij om zijn subtiele kant te laten horen. Trout verklaart de titel als volgt: “In this modern world which seems to be so filled with polarization, disagreements, and cruelty, I feel that it is important that we try to find SOME place where we can bond and come together in our common humanity!” Een boodschap en album om ter harte te nemen!
